The only weak spot for me in JJ's first Trek outing was the casting of his villain, I thought Eric Bana brought nothing to the role but his M.O. was strong enough to overcome the weak acting.

News that Cumberbatch was cast as the baddie in the new movie a while back made myself and Ali very happy, it wasn't till some months ago that rumors started swirling about WHO he was playing...for all intents at this moment, his character's name is officially "John Harrison" but fans around the world think he's actually playing a Khan-like or even Gary Mitchell-like baddie.

He bulked up a bit from his very trim Sherlock weight to play the role and I have no doubt he'll be great no matter who he plays!
