Kind of a mix of Jesse Stone and Raylan Givens. Might be a damn near perfect mix. And Lew Diamond Phillips is in it - as Longmire's best friend Henry Standing Bear. And Katee Sackhoff from BSG is in it.

Absaroka county, Wyoming, is supposed to be the setting for it. But there is no such county. The Absaroka Mountains are in Park County, Wyoming, just east of Yellowstone National Park. The opening scene with Longmire driving off from his house reminded me of the high country of the Valles Caldera of northern New Mexico. And I just found out that they were calling for extras in Santa Fe, New Mexico. So I may be right!
