Andy starts work full time tomorrow on a three month contract for a New York based startup operating on VC money...with the promise of salaried work and stock if it goes past three months. Think I should forward this to him?

Meticulous. Smart. Soft spoken.

So far so good in the new job. They're trying to get a VERY big name in the world of retail/service industries to come on board as an advisor and I would think as a retailer as well...things Andy overhears while he's coding. He was offered the job the same day he applied, so I think they were very happy to get someone with his skill set.

Ali got a job at Walmart in Nanaimo today. Working as a cashier, she's taking a year off between high school and college, so she can earn some bucks and the store's location puts her in a great spot to hear of other job openings. She's not had much luck around here, it's either fast food or who you know and jobs are scarce in her age bracket but that Walmart is finishing up a renovation and hiring in all departments. Staff looks fairly young too (I don't go in there very often), so she is happy about that.
