Totally amazing that nobody died in those storms, I have to say.

Everyone I work with over a certain age is loving their grandmotherhood. I am sure you will too!

Life outside of work is fantastic right now. Andy is about two weeks away from finishing college, looking at a practicum for the company he already is contracting for and maybe moving down to Victoria later this spring or sometime next year...hard to find a nice place once the kids are heading back to university. Ali is three months away from graduating high school and while she has no definite plans for the fall outside of work, she's much happier about herself and life in general than she was a year ago.

Don and I are busy so with many things-we're heading out RVing over the long weekend (we head out every two weeks or so), working on the raised bed veggie gardens we got started last weekend, getting out for long walks and making plans for the future...he can retire with a full pension in just over ten years and we're looking at what happens next. We're planning on heading down to Seattle this spring for a visit, I hear it's really nice down there and he wants to show me some of the places he took the kids last summer when they went down for Andy's game convention. The one sad thing is that the dogs are starting to show their age and while we love to take them out as much as possible, it's clear the long beach walks, etc are getting hard on them at times.

Work is terrible. We were just getting over a store-wide software change when head office decided that we'd change primary wholesalers as well and the new bunch is just awful...we'd dealt with them on a semi-regular basis for some drug and home healthcare items and they sucked then...it's so bad right now that most of the senior staffers like myself don't know whether to laugh or to cry.

Coming home every night is the one thing that is keeping me sane!!!!!!!

.........since we first started talking. It will be 10 years in early November that I first posted on the NB after reading (stalking) you guys for months. It was the night Diane sucked my bank accounts dry, stole half my crap and left me after 8 years.

I was a complete stranger to all of you and you took me in and offered support and understanding. It was amazing.

And here we are going on about 9 years here at S & T.

Time flies and lifelong friends are made :)

You and Don should think about someday making a trip down to Texas. I can not think of anything I would love more than to meet you. Well, and him too of course;)

Everyone here knows I haven't always been the best mom, partner or hell, even person, so I am scared shitless of being a grandparent.Shit, I can't even figure out what I want the peanut to call me. And my mom, as f'ing usual, has taken over EVERY.FUCKING.THING.

AS, email me if you get a chance and we can talk more privately if you'd like.

I think I am almost as proud of your kiddos as you are. You and Don have done an amazing job. Miss ya.
