Subject: On this day of celebrating being Canadian, one of my top three Canadian tv shows of all time.

https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2012/mar/13/your-next-boxset-due-south

That show was so off the wall yet so wonderful...

The Beachcombers and Corner Gas round out the top three. Beachcombers because it was a great show about the West Coast (one my incentives to move out here) and Corner Gas because hey, I am still a prairie girl despite having left when I was just 19!

Personally I am more of a "Canada-this is a day we come together" than a "Canada 150" kind of person. The idea of a country from "sea to shining sea" may have been formalized on that date 150 years ago (well technically only sort of -cannot forget the Newfies!) but the idea of a beautiful land much loved by it's people came long, long before that date.

(Also, would be happy if more people loved the land enough that they stopped building pipelines, hacking down forest to set up single family dwellings, polluted rivers and streams and set fires through their stupidity. We have a great country but also our fair share of morons too)
