Subject: Back to Where You've Never Been

It was rather good, and I like the shift with Walternate possibly becoming Peter's new father in this reality(love their last exchange and Walternate saying "you're exactly what I thought you would become"), yet i'm still wondering if they have the guts to leave behind the first blue/red verses and change the dynamics/relationships between the characters, and to tell the truth I'm worried about the new shapeshifters' storyline.
I like the episodes with the old shapeshifters but this updated version left me cold. They just seem to be plot devices...

So has alt-Broyles be replaced by a shapeshifter too (which would echo Charlie's storyline in the former blue verse)? It's likely for Broyles is always a good guy so I can't see him siding with Mr Jones.

The opening scene with the dream felt very LOST-like, except that it was obviously a dream sequence (while LOST often surprised the audience), but I really liked the Witness-like sequence at the bus station.

Lincoln scenes were again the highlights of the episode(both of them but I have a soft spot for our Lincoln, and methinks AltLiv might like him too); Seth Gabel is really good (and has beautiful eyelashes). And Olivia fixing his hair was sweet.

As for the cliffhanger with the bleeding September, I really don't know what to think of it. We'll see where it leads, I guess, and seeing September bleed was new but it sounded like they are recycling previous storylines about Olivia(and perhaps borrowing from LOST again, with Olivia being told like Chalie that she must die because it's what happens).

There was John Noble playing three different versions of Walter. There was "Good Old Walter" (S1-3) in the dream, "Broken Walter" (S4); and "New-Wave Walternate."

Unless Jones really isn't bad? Broyles could have sided with him. OR is Broyles actually bad in this reality? This is a "Separate Reality" (the Carlos Casteneda Book that was shown during S3) than that of Seasons 1-3.

I'll take any Lincoln any way I can get him! And did you notice that even when they looked alike you could tell geek-Lincoln from the Redverse Lincoln.

My question is how could September get shot? He has powers which would preclude that. So was he shot by other Observers? Or was it all a ruse by September? Could his appearance to her have been a situation such as that which occurred in Firefly, only much more subtle, with the use of psychology? I don't know....

. . .

Anna Torv played three versions of Olivia as well.

And yes we could tell Our-Linc from Alt-Linc indeed. I like this new verse.

Maybe September just chose to be shot; he isn't bullet-proof, it all depends on his will to avoid being injured.
