Not only he loves humanity but also BELIEVES in us which echoed the previous episode's theme about faith.

Loved the humour, and how Craig and Stormaggedon showed The Doctor's soft side. Matt Smith is really good at playing the mad man and the softer man. I think that Tennant's Doctor had more darkness and ambiguity (didn't like the emo stuff and pathos of the Ten era but I blame the writing, not the actor)but Smith is really a keeper.

So we're back to the beginning (Moffat just loves to begin his stories with the ending!)...

Have you seen the prequel to the finale?

As bleak as it looks (bloody Silence!!!!), I somehow think that what we thought happened, won't happen.

But we'll know for reasonably sure in a week, right??

I absolutely ADORE Smith in this role. He's just amazing.

I'm sure that Matt will be there next season still so there must be a way to keep him as The Doctor without undoing what we saw in The Impossible Astronaut.

The preview left me a bit concerned though...

Do we know if The Moff wrote the finale? I hope he did.

He's an excellent writer while some of the other writers from his crew are not that good. This last episode for instance had stuff I liked but the script was so-so and the ending (daddy's love saves the day)super corny.

I think the reason I enjoyed last night's ep so much is because there was less guilt going on than there was last week. Sure, Eleven was having some moments of doubt but Craig's belief that he was better off being closer paid off in the end, even if it was a little corny. It was pretty much the perfect antidote to the angst of "The God Complex" and made me feel a lot more optimistic about the finale...

I can't get over how some folks on tv boards are twisting themselves into knots over trying to set some kind of timeline or logic to certain events this season. There have been discussions over which version of Amy and Rory we saw in the store and the possibility the Eleven of this episode might be a Ganger. Don't they realise that the Tardis makes a normal timeline impossible and can Gangers appear to begin to regenerate? Can't the store version of Amy and Rory just be a slightly older version of the couple Eleven dropped off at the end of the last episode?? Can't we just relax and see where the story takes us????
