I really liked that episode! I know I'm rambling on, but the episodes over there are always better written and this one was one of the best(not quite as good as "The Plateau" or "Marionette" but not far behind). Much better than last week IMO.

Walter: Kennedy, help me!
Lincoln: Lincoln !

I just loved that exchange. It summed the episode up. How things are different and yet the same, and how Walter sees through the alternate realities to the point of getting confused and insane.

Also...Tomas Vergis was there! I found John Pyper-Ferguson excellent and extremely attractive in this episode.:- )

The episode played a lot on mirrors while Walter was covering all the surfaces that could get reflections.

Of course Olivia witnessing John McClennan's double journey had to face stuff about her own situation. Altliv seemed shocked when she heard Ourlivia said "I killed him".

Marjorie kinda stood for Peter. John forgot Marjorie but apparently kept what she gave him (Even when it’s the darkest, you can step into the light.”), therefore he might not kill people...perhaps. So there might be hope for Ourlivia too. Ok the parallel was anything but subtle here (especially given the last conversation between Broyles and Ourlivia), but all the actors sold it.

BTW the scene in which colonel Broyles appeared made me laugh. Lance Redding's body and way of carrying himself are already very distracting when he is in a suit, but there it was a bit too obvious.

I think that AltLee is more Ourlivia's type than the Lincoln from Over Here.

AltLee thinks that the two Olivias are much more alike than they think and he's obviously right.

As for parallels, I mostly loved the much more subtle one between the Johns and Walter, and how they were all in pain, and haunted by voices. In Walter's case, it's Peter's, and Astrid seems to be the one who could play Marjorie's role, but Walter doesn't let her, and seeks soothing by listening to loud music (Mozart's Requiem!), just as the John, who never had a Marjorie, finds his moments of relief by stealing the memories of happiness from his victims.

.....most excellent metaphors.

All sorts of things dealing with the loss or holes in peoples lives at seemingly every turn in the plot. What one has and another lacks. Loss of that which yields your purpose and yet one still retains the spark.

Olivia will in the future be under hypnosis and call out for Peter?
