That's two movies this year, isn't it?

;-)

I think it's easier to get the crew moved from Vancouver to here than it would be to get the comparable numbers into a REAL Alaskan fishing village. Add some fake snow, hire a bunch of locals to double as loggers and fishermen (Don was laughing at the "Cat" brand logging trucks they had at the pub) and some local kids to act in the Ukie scenes and you've got the realistic looking kind of color at a much cheaper price.

I made this album to show my mom-

The pub shut down last year. Nasty place. Got bought, new owners reopened the liquor store on the right side, cleaned up the worst of the outside trash (old travel trailers, etc) and were working on the interior when work stopped a couple of months ago. Then we heard it was going to be used as a movie set...all these for two days of shooting, not sure how many minutes that will translate to onscreen!

It'll be neat seeing all the places onscreen.

I remember going around Nelson looking for the places where they filmed Steve Martin's "Roxanne." The "All Things Dead" store - Firehouse - Baker Street - etc.....

No one had out USA flags like the movie though!

Because somehow Coors Light doesn't somehow seem right for what was a biker bar. LOL.
