Watch this, I will...the director for this one previously made "Tinman" and "Alice", both of which I loved. Casting looks pretty good too.

Found a new, longer walk to take the dogs on. Five kms there and back from the mostly always closed gate, the local hatchery sits on the side of the mountain just north of us. For a place that sees very little traffic, I thought the road was in really great shape but as it turns out, it also doubles as a section of the Trans-Canada Trail. Also great because the dogs got so much exercise they didn't move much off of their beds all night long, lol.

One thing, something LARGE bellowed on the hillside above us as we headed back down to the truck. Didn't sound like an elk, we don't have moose here, so I guess that leaves the only choice as a bear. Funny how people going to the other hatchery we frequent have been asking about bears when the biggest predator we've seen there is eagles and yet in a place where we didn't see much sign of fish, there might have been a bear. Hah!!

Ok, looks lame but looks like Fernie is finally getting something a little more appealing than "Hot Tub Time Machine" turned out to be under it's belt. No sexy almost-naked guy though...

*sighs*

I think this would have been fun to watch the filming of, I like puppies even when they are fluffy. (lol) I think you can thank BC's wide variety of landscapes for some of the 'Hollywood NNW' that's been going on, we've got everything from deserts to ocean-scapes.

Just recalled that the horrible remake of "Rollerball" did exteriors in Sparwood (at the open pit mine just outside town) while we were living there. So yeah, every place I have ever lived in BC has officially been part of the film scene, so to speak. LOL!!

That new series starting tonight on ABC ("Once Upon a Time") films in the Vancouver area. I was having fun looking at the online teaser the other day, trying to place all the exteriors...wasn't too hard last night when we watched "Tron:Legacy", at least at the end when Sam takes Quorra out for a spin in our reality, since it featured downtown Vancouver and the North Shore in the background.

;-)

I think it has promise.

I was up at Stewart and at the gold mines north of there they filmed that one sci-fi picture about a virological breakout in Anarctica.

But since then Insomnia was made up there.

Al Pacino and Robin Williams... now that was a pair!

Love the Jiminy Cricket thing, lol. Not sure if it's my cup of tea but it had a few nice moments.
