Subject: Ok... I caught the first Chuck and Grimm online....

Tomorrow night I'll watch the second eps....

And I gotta say, wow! I can actually watch a TV show online with my meager DSL connection.

But Grimm was like .... kinda interesting. And from what I heard of it before on TV Guide and other websites they didn't think it was all that good. Though one does have to wonder just how far they think they can stretch the idea.

Which takes me back to the way the English do episodic TV. I've been watching Masterpiece Mystery with the Jackson Brodie Case History, and damn that's good. I guess they've only shown the first three with three more to go on PBS.

But the mood of that show, just letting simple action take its time with a musical interlude. It draws you in. And it seems that each one has been about creating surrogate families for the people he either works for or investigates (or both). Even as his own family has disintergrated and his ex-wife and daughter moved from Scotland to New Zealand.

I look forward to the last three.

While they've played about a wee bit with the writer's storylines, the first two eps were fantastic and I am saving the rest of them on the PVR as a treat for a stormy night. You should try to find the first three episodes of the BBC's "Sherlock" if you liked this mini-series...the second series should start airing soon.

Herring surprise!

As for Chuck, I am sure all the fans who were bitterly saying at the end of last season that the Intersect would end up screwing up Morgan's brain are feeling mighty justified right about now. Will it be permanent? Dunno, but I was digging Doctor Ken-Doll doing his thing for the Buy More. Nice!

I just saw that!

"Who's Luke Skywalker?"

LOL!
