I didn't like the idea of Ellen being the Final Fifth first, mostly because I loved her death on New Caprica (it was so Greek, so tragic).

But having Ellen and Saul still love each other after thousands years was so romantic that I gave in...:- )

then and now. Her being the final fifth just seems anti-climactic to me.

is her unconditional love for her husband (who loved her back but loved Bill Adama even more!), but she was quite the bitch!

Yes it was anti-climatic but perhaps they meant it to be that way.

Ellen was sorta touching in her way, and Saul was one of my favourite characters right after Helo, Athena, and Caprica Six.

To me Ellen was just so pitiful. And I never understood her and Saul. I guess the previous life together explains it, now I just wish I had really remembered sooner :)
