Subject: The Doctor vs House.

Not sure how much it's safe to say but that was a VERY good ep, Gaiman really did a great job of telling a tale a great deal of fans never thought they would see...

Thoughts?

Before I saw it I thought that Eleven replying "Fear me I killed all of the them" to the House's "fear me I killed hundreds of Time Lords" was the best line EVER but then The woman!Tardis asked whether all human beings were like that, that is "bigger on the inside" and it was a winner. Just so poetical.

I also liked seeing the neverending insides of the Tardis while Amy and Rory were running. It was like a labyrinth...of time which again reminded me of Hyperion Cantos!

Of course it was also a way to revisit the theme of the Haunted House.

"The only water in the forest is the river" obviously refers to season 4 and to River Song's "fate" in the "Forest of the dead" after "Silence in the Library".

;-)

I wonder if we'll look back at this episode as this season's "Vincent"? There was a lot to mull over in this episode, including Rory's 'death' yet again and how very complicated the SheTardis is...kiss/bite! You get a better feel of how complicated the life of the Doctor has been and much influence his 'wife' has had over it. I've thought of it as being a willful ship commanded by a somewhat clumsy captain but it's apparently a hell of a lot more complicated than that!!

And it's a relationship based on equality, even though he thought he was incharge, since she said SHE stole him because she wanted to see the universe and wouldn't want to return him back!

She also said that she always took him where he needed to got (instead of where he wnated to go).

Their relationship is wonderful, amazing how well the two of them work together. River obviously understands and respects the heart of the ship, I think there is a dimension there that will hopefully make more sense as time goes on.

Rory is beautiful inside, I can see why SheTardis sees that in him.

Also, bunk beds! LOL!!
