Just look at how thin our livable atmosphere is. Actually, the space station is considered to still be in earth's atmosphere, albeit a rather thin outer shell of atmosphere.

I will never forget the first time I was able to eyeball the station, once it had grown big enough to see that way. What a remarkable place, with an amazing view of our world.


In those last two, I see the Canadarm is busy working on taking shuttle tile photos as part of their safety check before re-entry. Cool.

..........that mom wanted to see. We went out one night trying to see it and then finally we got the time and location right the next night and did see it. I think that was 2006 or 2007. It was certainly before I had my run-in with medical care.
