I think people who were higher up may have felt something around here, reports from the lower mainland say that swaying was more noticeable in taller highrises.

It mostly affected the Pacific Coast as it was offshore:

At a depth of 14.3 miles it must have been in the subduction zone that dives under Vancouver Island and the Pacific NW of the US. That's the same sort of zone which broke and caused the Japanese 9+ quake. The Juan de Fuca microplate is being subducted under the North American plate.

I think I would expect more earthquakes to come. Probably not as large as this one though. Or maybe this was a precursor to something bigger? No way to tell right now.
