Let's say on your opponent's side there is a Blue Eye's White Dragon (Pwr-3000 Def-2500...(that should be right)
and a Lord Of D. (Effect-All Dragon Types cards on the playing field are not affected by magic or traps. (That's what Iceman says, I can't prove it cause I don't have one and he doesn't use one) it's power is lower than BLWD so I won't bother.)

For your turn, for the sake of just showing an understanding...you sack two creatures and summon Buster Blade to the field in attack mode...Lord of D. and BEWD are both dragon types, therefore increasing Buster Blade's attack by 1000...since it's in attack mode you attack one of the dragons, killing it. It doesn't matter which one based on this information, but we'll say you attack BEWD...BB's attack is higher so he kills BEWD no sweat with an extra 600 dealt to the opponent's life points. Lord of D. is a weakling compared to BEWD so if LOD attacks or is switched to defense mode makes no difference.
For more explanation, say BB attacks Lord of D. in the same manner, only first. LOD dies and depending on position, the opponent takes a mess of damage. Then, it's the ooponents turn...if he attacks with BEWD or switches him to defense mode makes no difference the outcome is the same with BB coming out on top. Simple, yes?

NOTE:This is purely based on these creatures. Magics, traps, field, etc. are not taken into account. The reason is because, there are far too many possibilities with them added in. Since, there are very few ways of knowing what traps/magics your opponent has face-down...it's hard to prepare against them. Making the game's fun and replay value increase to wild levels...

And that, as they say, is THAT!
