It's difficult... You do have the constitutional right (as defined under the First Amendment) to say what you wish. However, the assistant principal has the right to take whatever action against you that they deem necessary as long as it is not unconstitutional. As for the identity crisis... You are a human being. You are unique. What you need to do is find your center, your balance, your core values, and hold on to them. (This goes for you too, SF Amanda) Being true to yourself is the best thing you can do at this point. And it's not easy to do what I just said; I haven't found my balance for years now; it slips in and out of my grasp. What is right for you may take you years to find, and may encompass much suffering and joy, but eventually, you will find what you are looking for.
