I am indeed already in college, in fact, I am graduating this May with my Associates degree in Fine Arts. However, I want to get at least a Bachelor's degree before I take a break from college. I recently applied (before the beginning of December last year) to a private, four-year liberal arts college where the campus is very close to me (I live no more than 15-20 minutes away from it, that's how close), and I already know most of the Music Department staff (the area I'm majoring in). Well, since I'm a transfer student, they forgot to put it on the application that transfer student applications are not even reviewed until June, meaning I got my application in for early consideration for nothing. After several phonecalls to the admissions office, and the influence of some of the professors at the college, they finally decided to review my application early, as a special case.

On Saturday, I recieved a packet in the mail from the college saying that a.) I had been accepted, and b.) I qualified for a $16,000 academic scholarship in addition to the $1500 per year grant that I get for being a resident of the county that the college is located in. Suffice it to say I was very happy, to say the least. I still am, in fact.

Oh, and for all of those of you wondering, the college is McDaniel College (formerly, and shall always be to me, Western Maryland College), and you can find its website here:
