Can you believe our babies are three!!!!!! Hailey is doing great! She is walking and starting to say a few words although sign is still her main way to communicate. We had the family over on her birthday. She had a great time. YOu should of eaw her face after her birthday cake!!!! We also took a cake to our cardiology clinic. I wanted everyone to help celebrate the mirical of her life. Our diagnosis date is tough but I find her birthday to be such a celebration. I hope Colin will have a great birthday. Happy Birthday mirical boy!!!!!!

I have been checking to see how Colin is doing. I hope he has overcome his set backs and is at home. It sounds like it has been arough go of it. It must have been a little scary to spend the night in the van. We are so lucky here that when we go to our out of province surgery Manitoba health picks up the accomadation cost. Not all provinces do it. It is too bad you didn't have somewhere to stay. anyways I have been thinking of your family alot and sending lots of positive thought your way.

Hi Jen and Kev!
It is good to hear that Colin is doing so well! Out of the three operations I have been told by other heart families that this is the hardest on the kids. However it seems like Colin is progressing very well. He is a fighter! But I also think it has to do with the two wonderful parents he has. I hope that he can stomach his meds better on Friday.
I posted a good luck message on Monday but it doesn't show up.

Hey Jen & Kevin! I was going to e-mail you to see how things were going, but then in a round about way, I ended up on your web site. Congrats on a successful Glenn! We are having Liam's tomorrow morning. How ironic that the day after you're discharged, we check in - but we didn't make it back to LA for this one. Denver seemed the better option because of timing, and since we had all of one week's notice, I think we made the right choice, though we do miss the CHLA staff and Dr. Starnes.
Have you seen this month's parent's magazine? There is an article that briefly mentions Ebstein's. If you want, I'll clip it and mail it to you - I think I still have Kevin's card from when we were at the Ronald McDonald House - did you guys get in while you were there?
Well, I've got to go finish packing. We have no idea where we're sleeping tomorrow night, so I'm going to try to enjoy my last night in my own bed for a while. Good luck with Colin's recovery, and tell the folks at CHLA we said, "Hi!" when you return for follow up!

Congratulations on Colin's birth! It sounds like he is doing great so far. Our prayers will be with him, his family and his doctors as you prepare for sugery. I can honestly say "I know what you're going through". My son had his EA repaired at 4 days old - over 21 months ago. By the grace of God he is doing great. Keep your faith and rely on family and friends as much as you can. That is what brought us and Dylan through his surgery.
Please post some details of the type of repair they do for Colin for us other EAers.

Kevin & Jen...you selected a wonderful date to have your son. Austin and Evan (our twins) were born on that day!!!
