I am thinking of dressing as Pfc. Jessica Lynch for Halloween. I think that she is an amazingly brave American and an icon for many young people considering military duty. And as the BBC so eloquently put it, "Private Jessica Lynch became an icon of the war, and the story of her capture by the Iraqis and her rescue by US special forces became one of the great patriotic moments of the conflict." Please let me know via email if you think that she would appreciate or discourage me from representing her in costume next weekend.
