Puffing herself up, the Miniature horse has Marabella trot a circle around her, §"Get off your lazy front end and carry yourself through your back. Trot, honestly, you're flying along at an un-known gait the pace of a canter. Step out. Bend. BEND. You can't do anything without the bend."§
She reaches through her back, streaching her limbs and reaching with her head.
§"BEND!"§
The Thoroughbred cranks her body into a shape to fit the circle very painfully.
§"Suppleness is everything. Get to work."§
She tries to bend, though she isn't going fast she begins to sweat.
§"You need to have energy but control it. Step out more, but not so fast. Collect yourself, in a way. Streach and reach, but slow your pace. What you're doing it slowing down and trying to bend. You want to slow your rythem and boost your energy. Track up behind."§
"How on earth am I supposed to boost my energy and slow my pace?"
§"Oh you just don't get it."§
The now exaugsted mare grins, "Your turn." She grins sharply, malice across her face as she gazes at the small and supple- but not built up -little horse.
§"I'm game"§
"Okay, gallop."
Roses Have Thorns breaks into a steady lope, covering ground at a decent pace.
"Gallop. Honestly."
She picks up pace, and is soon whippig around Marabella in her little circle. Loud puffing and blowing is heard from her each time she passes, but she carries on.
"You're not going very fast."
This sets the little mare off. She takes off like a bullet, simply a little gloden blur flying around the tall horse in the center of the circle. If she were going slower, you would be able to see her toungue hanging out and her eyes bulging.
She flicks her ebony tail, "Faster, m'dear."
Already going at top speed, the Miniature horse continues at her pace.
"Good enough. Change direction."
She comes to the center, very dizzy, and does a pirouette and begins to jog half-heartedly around in circles.
Her eyes gleaming wickedly, Marabella gathers herself, leaps, and snaps at Roses Have Thorn's flank.
She stops, pivots around, and returns it. §"Excuse me?"§
"This is dull. Let's just graze."
§"That's even worse!"§
