Date Posted: Fri, Oct 19 2012, 17:49:35 Just venting here. I was just on another board reading about a nurse who had her mental illness diagnosis posted on her state's BON site for everyone to see. She is in her state's monitoring program. Ya know it really just sucks a bag of dicks that the BON can post what should be confidential information. I know that my state BON does this all of the time. One time they posted what read as a nurse's entire health history and behaviors related to the poor nurse having had a stroke. Also, the BON has posted about nurses with substance abuse issues later to follow up by letting everyone know that the nurse has since died! Is that shit necessary?? Who are they "protecting" by divulging that info? It should be enough for anyone to log on and see the status of the nurse's license without exposing what should be confidential information. I know that nurses have no rights at all in these matters, but damn! just venting, Alice [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
