I have read the most current stuff on All Nurses, and I see the very pro AA slant and I'll stick with this forum. It's very important to me to use critical thinking and expect evidence based practice in my recovery. I'm still an RN dang it, and "facts" without evidence such as "it has helped millions" just doesn't compute. I'll post later about a great program called Women for Sobriety that has existed since 1976. It exists mostly online today. It is a positive program that helps women build self-esteem and inner strength. No drugalogs, no ego destruction (I'm already there; that's why I drank in the first place). Website is www.womenforsobriety.org One thing about my phrase "cracked and drank". I mean that I cracked up (broke down emotionally) and drank, not that I used crack. :D HUGS too and Thank you!!!
