I moderate this board and have been through the BON meatgrinder as well. I am exhausted right now and should be in bed so I will have to keep this short.

Unfortunately, this forum has been slow as far as posting traffic so I wanted you to get some kind of response. There is a far more active forum at allnurses.com but it is heavily and strictly moderated and won't allow a lot of anti 12-step talk. There are quite a few posters that specialize in AA cultspeak, also known as "BillShit" (from AA founder Bill W), which I find nauseating.

I am glad you read back in the archives because there are stories from some fine people here who have earned their proud scars in dealing with the asinine stigma connected with being labeled an "addict."
