I was one of the one's that gave a great deal of credit to AA, and to be honest, I still do. But what it was were parts of it that helped, not all of the 12 steps. I have given up nursing and am currently getting my counseling degree. I feel like for this later part of my life (I'm now 55) it's more realistic a profession for me. On a sad note, my dh was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He is one of the 20% that was caught early enough that surgical removal is possible. He must undergo 6 months of chemo first to help shrink the tumor a bit. Please think good thoughts for him. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
