HEROES

In this time of pain and strife,
Don’t give up, for peace will suffice.

American soldiers who brought us through wars
With dignity and pride like eagles who soar.

If war breaks out, brave and true they’ll stand.
True American heroes will fight till death for this land.

Firemen and policemen fighting for you and me
Who died that day with dignity.

The families who lost the ones they love
Offer their tears to God above.

They too are heroes in this tragic time.
The ladder of faith is high but up to Heaven they climb.

They sacrifice, for now, their daughters, their sons.
The faith in their souls says, “Thy will be done.”

Angel’s unaware guard the streets of America.
Holy warriors on God’s mission for freedom’s saga.

Tragedy’s affliction will someday cease.
For it began with peace and it will end with peace.
