FREEDOM?

Freedom is not what it used to be.
Loving and caring blew away with the wind.
People only care about themselves today.
There’s way too much sorrow going around.

What I’d give to be a bird or a tiger!
Their world has a lack of confusion.
They know what to do to survive and do it.
Their nature is as simple as one, two, three.

Sure they have other animals trying to steal their prey,
But it’s more acceptable for an animal to be an animal.
They have no limitations on the way they should live.
They can do what they need to do without judgment.

It’s easier for them to survive because
They’re the only animals that can act what they are.
They are accepted and loved for being themselves.
They’re mistakes are much quicker to be forgiven.

People are stereotyped if they don’t act civil.
Don’t you remember that we’re animals, too?
Why can’t we show our anger and our fear?
It would be less confusing if we didn’t have to hide behind masks.

I believe that there was more compassion way back when.
Why can’t we find it again?
What a curse it is to be human.
The only animal that’s not completely free.
