LAMB OF GOD SONNET

My Lamb Of God, I fear my soul’s at stake.
The grip of temptations hand is too great.
My soul drowns in hatred’s bloodthirsty lake
Where once the hand of love beheld my fate.

Caught up in flames of Hell where demons tread,
Crying out to God for sweet salvation,
Let the hand of Gabriel brush my head.
Protect me from the cloven hoof of sin.

I long for yesterday where freedom sang
A lullaby alone my heart could hear,
Where once, for me, the bells of Heaven rang.
Where once I drank a weeping angel’s tear.

Sweet angel of peace fly down unto me.
Wrap me in your wings and set me free.
