The chagrin jazz singer chants away my tears
The crying saxophone and me harmonize just right

Cool hot jazz jive is all I care to hear
Boogie-woogie rhythm envelopes me so tight

All eyes upon us as the socials stop and stare
Caught up in the Dixieland magic of midnight

Dawning of morning light is the only thing I fear
To the bebop hop we trip the light
