In the wave you become
Your naked jubilation

Softly, she twirls
draping the light
of seawater around
her naked legs and hip.

Her body feels soothed
by the salt of ancient tides

and the sheer whisper
of a lover –

He calls to her
from dawn’s surf
.
billowing like the mane
of a white Arabian
across miles of sky.

Honored. she bows her head
and sweeps his voice
under the dark wing
of her lashes.
