Under His Gaze

empathy and warmth and
pain
We look into mirrors through our own blue portals
See our own gray shadows
Feel our own red tears
Is it the darkness penetrated by light or
The light smothered by darkness
Beneath our hearts, who knows what lies
Do not look at his eyes
His eyes crush my refuge and my keep
Conquer my fortress while I sleep
He exposes me
Through my fierce defense
Hidden communion exposes me
I lie mutilated in terror
He breathes into my death
With his black and gray and blue
eyes.

Wow, to whomever felt the urge to tell us all about the wonderful inner turmoil they're feeling, i hope that you enjoy that. Read some Poe, write some stuff that'll scare the living poop out of 14 year olds...You could make millions, but chances are you won't really be recognized as being all that great until after you die, but would be considered AMAZING should you die the way Poe did...

k so i know this thread thing is kinda dead, but i just thot id end it with, "k so poe had talent and stuff as a writer and professional depressor, but he was a freak, and not a guy to aspire to be like. not that u are, but for other people of the future that might be like, "whoa i wanna be a psycho like edgar allen poe and be scary and make everyone sad and crap and write about houses falling down and people getting locked and cemented into underground caves and plagues and birds that make people sad and everythin. freaky man.
