I’ve been swamped with work, but that isn’t new. With income tax, and annual and quarterly filers for GST/HST due on the 30th, April was my busiest month. And because I let the not-so-high-priority stuff slide while I was getting the priority stuff done, I’m farther behind than ever, hence continued longer hours.

The stacks of paperwork weren’t/aren’t the only things to suffer. My house is a disaster area. While the basics have been sort of kept up, this house could use a really good spring cleaning. I’d like to really get to that one of these days. But the weather is getting better and I want to be outside not cooped up indoors.

And it is spring here. Despite the cold temperatures and the piles of snow from shovelling the driveway still melting, I saw a humming bird yesterday. Which makes me want to go and dig in my garden, which I don’t have time for. Not to mention my two dogs love to dig in there as well, so the poor plants have a mediocre chance an survival… *sigh*

Okay, writing wise, I haven’t done much, mostly reading what I have and editing a thing or two here and there. I’m still working on getting it all together in some sort of order. In fact, I am now obsessed with trying to find my favourite homework assignment so I can post it. Obviously, my files are cluttered and I need to go through and purge.

So, that brings me to goals.

1. Spend one hour per day clearing up my files, email, and other miscellaneous stuff from my computer so I can be more organized. (No laughing)

2. Post a homework. I’ve got a couple almost finished. Just need to choose one and do it.

3. I’d like to get back in the habit of critiquing because it helps me in my own writing by exercising my mental muscles.

4. Time is in short supply, but if I don’t spend some time writing everyday it’s easy to not do anything at all. It’s the 7th today, so my goal is to write 300 words for 25 days, for a month end total of 7500. Baby steps.

I'll let you all know how it goes

Hugs

Esther

I don't know where time is hiding, but it seems I am always far behind. taxes need to be done, houshold chores (at least in the most basic way) are always waiting, I have a huge pile of ironing to do (for weeks now) and so on and so on. On top of that I am really busy this month with the red cross since I had/have two blood donations to coordinate. the next one is tomorrow and I have to do the shopping vor that today. Plus the sorting of the boxes from the last one to see what the hell I still have and don't need to buy again. We have a lot of family birthdays too at the moment and I am desparetly trying to get the presents ready (yesterday I finished a sewen frog just in time, and I am still on the first sock of a pair that needs to be ready on the 11th) and our daughter decided that she doesn't need that much sleep any more and by doing that also skipped her rythm so I never know when she will sleep at all.
Ok, there are a hell of a lot more small things but I don't want to ramble.
Goals actually I just have one and that is getting on top of my chores. And since may is almost over I declare that (again) as my goal for june.
Writing wise I have added one verse to the song and am working on another one. Thangs Debi, the finished one is about the moon and the stars and the next will be about daylight and sun. (showing light and dark)
Soooo, back to work, I post when I find the time.
