Subject: HOMEWORK! for April 3, 2012

Another month, another homework.

1. Empty shelves. The truth is flat surfaces don't stay bare for long. Clean your clutter. Or have your characters do it for you. Show them interacting in their environment. Are they the kind to put something down 'temporarily' and it's never seen again, or are they tidy to the point of excess? Perhaps somewhere in between? The point of this exercise is to get to the bare bones. Er...Shelves.

2. Skeletons in the closet. The door opens and...?

3. The one word prompt this time around is Secrets.

And that's it. The Library link can answer all your questions. And don't forget, homeworks don't expire, so check out the assignment tab if you're looking for inspiration.

Happy Writing!

[> Option 3 but different ;) -- Lady Morilka, 14:17:42 04/18/12 Wed

Secretly I started the adventure of writing a book ;) And I figured it would be time to announce that here. But it is not a novel, I started a craftbook or more concret a knitting book. By now I have 5 finished patterns and 5 in the wait. After that I am going to try to find a publisher (have already looked for some) and hope the best.
Finished patterns means they are testknit, fotographed and written. The other ideas still need to come into beeing. 5 more patterns are planned for advertising my idea and I have a lot more for the final book.
I keep my fingers crossed that it works out. There are a lot of books about knitting out there but when I looked for something specifis (and not uncommon actually) I could only find a hand full of patterns in various books and the internet, so I started to invent my own. I keep you posted but can't reveal any patterns/ideas beforhand sorry.

[> [> WOW Lady M! That's awesome!! I'm so happy for you! -- Myxtress, 14:10:09 05/01/12 Tue

You've already put a lot of work into this, and you've also planned and researched it too! Let me know when it's time to cross my fingers for you as well, cause you know I'm hoping for the best for you!

Again, awesome!

My mom was a knitter, and I know she was always on the lookout for patterns. When I had my kids she knit them the coolest sweaters, with different coloured cars for my son and colourful crayons for my daughter. I've kept them, and someday when my kids have kids I hope to hand them down. Something handmade that can be treasured for the thought, care and time invested to make it special.

Such a creative woman you are. Poetry, lullabyes for your little one, easter eggs, and now knitting patterns. You constantly amaze me.

Hugs

Esther
