Can Poverty be prevented?

For numerous years poverty has been a major problem affecting people in all parts of the world. Poverty has been a huge problem, and will continue to be a problem as the years progress. Poverty has had vast effects on people of all ages and all races. Poverty has caused depression, starvation, sickness, and death to millions of people in all areas of the world. Poverty is undoubtfully a problematic question that would be beneficial to answer. Can Poverty be prevented all together? If so, how can it be prevented?

Some have tried to resolve the question of the prevention of poverty, however, nobody has fully succeeded. Many have aided in the prevention by doing tasks such as volunteer work in shelters, mission trips, and donations of both time and money. Although these tasks helped aid in the prevention of poverty, they did not stop or avert it completely. Poverty exists today, and in my opinion always will.

The problem of poverty is something definitely worth pursuing. The reason for this need to prevent is due to the fact that it effects so many. Benefits that would come about after solving this would change the world by making it a happier and healthier place for everyone. Several questions need to be answered while researching this problem. What are the causes of poverty? Are we aware of all of the causes or are some left uncovered? Will poverty be worse or better in the future? Is poverty more severe in some areas? If so, what is this a result of? Is the task of prevention something that can be solved by a few people, or would it take everyone to make poverty disappear entirely.

I would like to better understand poverty and what has caused it to change from time to time and from place to place. I am almost positive that poverty is something that is not completely avoidable, but I feel that it is important enough to research more about. The outcome of prevention or a decline in the poverty rate would benefit many significantly.
