Subject: 72nd Pursuit Squadron/318th Fighter Squadron Patch

Hello,
I recently received my uncles 72nd Squadron Patch (Disney Hiawatha Character) and was wanting to find a bit more out, including the value. Of course I am hanging onto it and going to frame it and a few other common patches. He was at Pearl when it was bombed. He was an Armorer for the planes. In a note that accompanied the patch he states that he was stationed at Wheeler Field then dispersed to Schofield Barracks, Bellows Field. After the bombing he said he had enough of that and got into CIC, took 6 months of Japanese and ended up in England. Go figure. Then was attached to the 2d Armored Division. After the war he was stationed in Austria where he rounded up SS. Retired a Captain in the early 60's after 25 years in the army. Just a bit of his history. Always used to ask him about his service and always got the same answer. "It's classified son!" He was one of my heroes. Let me know what you can about the patch. Thanks so much!
