Subject: 316th Fighter - Hell's Belles

Hi Brian, Here's a little info on the 316th Fighter Group. The patch you show for them is an incorrect rendering as the background on the originals was yellow and not black. It was outlined in black around the outer border of the circle. The 316th was part of the 324th Fighter Group, along with the 314th and 315th Fighter Squadrons.The 316th was known as Hell's Belles. If you'd like a little more info on them visit www.316th.com I am the webmaster of the site and produce the squadron newsletter. I am the daughter of a former member of the 316th. I also made up some replica patches in leather for our upcoming reunion. These were made using the original artwork, if you'd like to see one, let me know. By the way, you have a nice site!
