This is my first breakthrough on locating the history of the Peg-Leg insignia used by the air arm of the USS Princeton CV-37 while Admiral Hoskins was the CO in 1946.

(Created by Disney artists in January 1946 for Bombing Fighting Squadron 81, VBF-81.)

I have a photocopy of the insignia that appeared in the October 1993 Newsletter of the USS Princeton Assn.
