Subject: Bat with twin 50s

Trying to identify an emblem. Wicked looking bat in flight with lightning bolts shooting from its eyes and clutching twin fifty caliber machine guns in its claws.

Back in the 1980S a coworker brought in a stack of his WWII pictures. Mixed in with the pictures was a single decal with the emblem described above. I ask to borrow it long enough to run to the photo-copy machine and was granted permission.

Recently ran across my now faded copy and recall very little other than it was from a night fighting unit. Have the impression that it was not his unit but that he had traded with a buddy for the decal. Would like to find out any thing I can about the unit. Can post a link to a scan if that is permitted here.

William
