Well, It was slated to be replaced by the M-38 Jeep, and then the M-38A1. The marines also, used the Mighty Mite for airborne operations. WWII Jeeps were in use in Vietnam. The French forces used them; along side the French built Hotchkiss jeeps. The CIA is seen using them as well. In a pinch they were also pressed into service by regular US forces. The main jeep used in Vietnam was the M-151 and M-151A1. A friend tells me that there was a WWII Willys MB jeep still in use at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs when he went through training in the late 1980's.
