My DH is sick and disabled, so I'm supporting the family. I didn't think I could do it, but I can. In fact, I just refinanced the house, getting the mortgage in my name only. Whoo hoo! Somebody thinks I can do this. I've always been sort of the artsy type who wasn't "good" with money. Well, my choice lately has been to work on that weakness or face poverty, and I think it's coming together.

I've come a long way since March, when I thought I was going to lose DH and that my life was over. Now things are manageable, which is so much better than they were. DH's prognosis is good, but it will be a long time before he's ready to function again.

My parents are flying us all to Italy in July, which will be very good for all of us. So right now I'm feeling like a very lucky person.
