You get all wrapped up in it and it's fun for awhile..Both of my girls played softball from the time they were 5 yrs old and the older they got, the worse it became. Talk about stress. Then add to it a dad who is coaching, all stars, state tournaments, playing doubleheaders 2 nights a week, practices on the nights they weren't playing traveling here and there..ugh it was just too much. And this was SUMMER ball..this doesn't even include varsity high school ball. whew. Talk about softball junkies.

In her jr year my youngest decided to not play anymore and my dh decided not to coach. Too much crap to deal with and it just was NOT fun anymore. We had our family life back. What a relief!
