although he might have known what he was doing...there is still hope for "fixing" him (lack of better words) so he does turn into a productive citizen. But that has a catch as well...I think 20 (plus) years will negate the "fixing" him part. That much time in jail would not be beneficial to the overall hope that one could help a young child like that.

I also think that if C&Y were called and a paper trail is found...c&y should be held accountable in some way for both children. Maybe another portion of this debate should be how many call in's should c&y allow before they decide to pull the child until further investigation is completed?

The whole thing is just so sad! Not only is there an angry, child killer who is a child himself...but a dead child....something went wrong somewhere.
