and now we can spin off to what parts of the bible must one follow because half of it negates the other half. (which is where MY confusion wrt the bible starts)...

But back to the debate at hand...disregarding the bible all together....I still think "morally" I have a stand if I should decide to kill someone who kills my child. My only moral obligation is to uphold my beliefs and to make sure I don't wreak havoc on the world and imo, taking out a child killer isn't wreaking havoc...it is getting rid of havoc. So, "in theory" my belief is do unto others....they kill her, they have then told me that they want to be killed.

And no, I wouldn't do it because my "beliefs" wouldn't hold water in a court of law plus I think killing is wrong. So even though my "belief" dictates that I can do it...I certaintly wouldn't because that would tell the world that *I* want to be killed. Not really my goal in life.

BTW--I am taking your que and dropping the eyed2001 part.
