I took my 9 year old daughter to see Def Leppard back in September. Wow! What a show! And this was a one off warm up show, to send a couple of new songs up the flag pole to see who saluted them. Unbelieveable show. Just 5 guys, their instruments and a bunch of amps. You couldn't get more "stripped down" than this show. It was INCREDIBLE!

I have a ticket for their Philly show on April 8th. I am literally counting the days. I have to go it alone this time since my cousin (who also came with me to the Reading show in September) can't make it, and it's a Tuesday night so my daughter can't come either. But.... Since I could buy whatever ticket I wanted this time around I am proudly holding a ticket 13 rows from the stage on the floor! WOO HOO! I may be standing there alone, but I'll have one hell of a smile on my face!

If the opportunity presents itself to see them again RUN don't walk. Musically, they put on one of the finest shows I have ever seen, ever. Only three others are in the running, David Bowie, AC/DC and the Kinks... How's that for diversity. But these are the top four , in my book, who absolutely don't NEED a "show". They can stroll out there on a bare white stage with just their guitars and a stack of Marhall amps and have at it, they are that good at what they do.

I'm trying to work out one more DL show this tour (I'm afraid this will be the last opportunity to see them - you never know) with my best friend. She lives in TX now but comes back for the summer (she's a teacher and single). The closest show they have announced while she will be here is in Columbus, OH. A 7 1/2 hour drive. I'm trying to work out how that conversation with my husband will go.

Um, honey? Kimi and I are thinking of buying tickets to a DL concert and spending the night there before we drive home, any problem with that?

No. Have a good time. Where is the concert that you have to stay over night?

uh, Columbus.

LIKE OHIO???

I can picture us sitting in the divorce attorney's office now ;)

Glad I found a kindred spirit. I mostly feel like a freak when I tell people I still LOVE Def Leppard!

Diane
