It probably is standard procedure to go to the halfway house at this point. And no, he hasn't threatened any specific children.

My two concerns (which are diametrically opposed) are these.

First, why can't they commit this kid for further treatment, and second, since he *has* served his time and they *are* letting him go, what right do they have to smear him with this "warning" to the public about his release? I'm just really confused about that, because usually it seems they go out of their way to *not* disclose things like that.

I wish Prez was here. This is happening in her area. She might be able to shed some light on what's really going on.
