About how courteous and polite we are to complete strangers, but are SO different around the most important people.. .the ones we love. DH said that it's due to familiarity and the ability to be ourselves, but I still make a point of it now and then.

The part about the kid... that hit home too. :( I admit, I am not the perfect mother and curse myself many a times while lying in bed that I should pay more attention to the little things when it comes to my son... but daily lives and rushed routines get the better of me. Trust me..when I'm sitting at this computer and I hear in the background, "mom, mom, mom, mommy...." I feel the guilt later.

SIGH. It's good to have a wakeup call now and then. Thank you for posting that!!
