He wouldn't have to sell the rights...Dune is owned by the Herbert limited partnership. They chose who rights the books. They hire them. Even Brian was hired to co-write the books by the partnership...of wich he may own part of but not all. I don't mind Brian writing all or 1% of the new books but, He should have found the best to co-write them with him. He obviously thought he couldn't do it alone...why K.J.A.? Or he could have turned it over to another writer(who's work would have to pass the partnerships inspection first) to do the job...Alastair Reynolds would have done a kick ass job..as well as many others.
