i'm sure the "known" parts of their religion are documented by the Bene Gesserit. However, they don't know that much about the religion of the Tleilax in any of the prequels so I still don't see what the problem is.

Also, if you leave your enemy alive...it doesn't matter how brutal or force oriented your plots are...you still play by the same rules.
