Well in that case, I can't really give an explanation and perhaps my assumption that they wanted LEto II's direct memories was off.
Though I will say that he and Ghanima were very very close and probably knew almost exactly what LEto was thinking for most of her own life, and LEto II had strong ties and bonds with all of her descendants, it's not really the same. So you got me there.
Again, maybe my initial assumption about wanting Taraza's memories was wrong. It's been a while since I read Heretics.
