As President of the VVS Laxatives Football-Club (VVSLFC) I hereby lodge a protest of the result of the RFL Preliminary Final between VVSLFC and Darkness Eternal.

Nature of Appeal: Request to null the preliminary final result and replay the match.

Reason for Appeal: Anthony Rocca was a DNP.

Details: The preliminary final between VVSLFC and Darkness Eternal was played over the weekend of August 19-20 at Dustbowl Stadium. The results indicate A.Rocca as scoring 3 points, M.Ruicutto scoring 1 points and B.Hall scoring 0 points. VVSLFC admit to and accept uncharacteristic poor performances by messrs Ruicutto and Hall. However the VVSLFC vehemently deny that A.Rocca played in the preliminary final. A figure resembling his stature and appearance, and wearing his player apparrel was on the sporting facility (ie ground) but this could not be considered "Playing". While in a metaphysical sense the "player" was there he was essentially superfluous to the game. Moving in the direction of the ball (or not) and then subsequently stopping and breathing heavily for 3 minutes is not "playing" in the true sense of the word.

While A.Rocca did possess the ball on occassions, these said possessions did not fit within the purpose of a football match. The said possessions were directed in a random manner which to any objective observer could not be considered a contribution to the VVSLFC or the RFL. The VVSLFC argue that the presence of A.Rocca was a hindrance to the performance, and overall value to the VVSLFC "brand", in the sense that his lard ass and glacial speed stopped more appropriate and apt contributors participating in the game.

The RFL should consider the value of it's "brand" and wipe this game from the statistical record and have it replayed. The VVSLFC submit that the score of emergency player A.Cooney (30 points) should be added in the VVSLFC score. While this would not technically change the result per se, the VVSLFC player group would have played in a more competitive nature,and likely have won the game, had such a knob not been in their presence.

It should be noted that RFL feeder league, the AFL, changed a match result because a time keeper was derelict in their duty. The RFL has been derelict in it's duty by allowing the score of a useless fat shit to stand.

We request that this protest be upheld.
